Johnny May

Johnny May is a Los Angeles-based producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and engineer known for his genre-blurring approach to contemporary music. Classically trained from an early age, he began playing piano at two and violin at five, later earning a place in the USA National Youth Orchestra. His work seamlessly bridges pop, R&B, hip-hop, alternative, and electronic, pairing technical precision with a strong sense of musicality and emotional depth. Johnny is an active creative contributor across Jean Dawson’s project and contributed to SZA’s deluxe album “LANA.” He also composed and performed the opening string arrangement for “Folded” by Kehlani. Recent collaborators include Kehlani, Lola Young, H.E.R., Tems, girlsweetvoiced, Love Spells, Lekan, Baby Nova, etc.
